Farmer killed in Kadogli

                                                          FARMER SHOT DEAD BY UNKNOWN PEOPLE IN KADOGLI, SUDAN

On 2nd October 2021, Mr. Abdalla Teeya was found dead with gunshot wounds at his farm in Kadogli. The killers are not known. The murder case was reported against anonymous at Kadogli police but, the police did not act or respond. On 2 nd October 2021, Mr. Abdalla Teeya was found by his neighbors (fellow farmers) dead at his farm in west Kadogli town with gunshots wounds. The neighbours informed his family and together took the dead body to his house and then to Kadogli hospital where the postmortem confirmed the cause of death as gunshots/ bullets. He was shot on the head, neck and on his left arm. Before the dead body was buried, the family reported the case anonymously to Kadogli police but, no investigation was carried out and police could not even visit the crime scene. Mr. Abdalla Teeya (56 years) was a farmer and a resident of Kadogli town. His farm is at the western border of Kadogli town near Kadogli’s slaughterhouse. Kadogli is the capital of South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains. HUDO Centre is very concerned about the security situation and the safety of civilians in conflict areas and calls upon;
· Sudan government to urgently address the causes of insecurity in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains.
· Sudan government to ensure that police executes their duties responsibly by observing the rule of law. · Sudan government to dissolve the government militias and disarm people with unlicensed firearms.
· Sudan government to respect its international obligations.
