Farmers found dead in Abu Jibaiha

                                                             FARMER FOUND DEAD AT HIS FARM NEAR ABU-JIBAIHA, SUDAN

On 28th December 2021, a farmer was found dead at his farm near Abu-Jibaiha with gunshot wounds. The case was reported against anonymous to Abu-Jibaiha police but the police did not investigate further. On 28th December 2021, Mr. Ahmed Elfadil Matouk was found by his family members dead at his farm (in Delaibat village near Abu-Jibaiha town). His body had gunshot wounds on the head. The family members also found the footsteps of the assailants at the crime scene. The case was reported against anonymous to Abu-Jibaiha police but no investigations were carried out. Police did not even visit the crime scene. Mr. Ahmed Elfadil Matouk (45 years old) was a farmer from Kenana tribe. Delaibat is a village about 15 km southeast Abu-Jibaiha town. Abu-Jibaiha is capital of Abu-Jibaiha locality in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains. HUDO is very concerned about the security situation and the safety of civilians in conflict areas and calls upon;
· Police in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains to immediately investigate this case.
· The prosecutor in South Kordufan/ Nuba Mountains to ensure that there is rule of law.
· The security committee in South Kordufan state to dissolve and disarm militias and ensure the safety of civilians.
