                                                            FARMER FOUND DEAD AT HIS FARM IN UM-DEHAILEEB, SUDAN

On 15th January 2022, a farmer was found by his family dead at his farm in Um-Dehaileeb. The dead body had gunshot wounds. The family reported the case anonymously to Kologi police but the police did not investigate further. On 15th January 2022, Mr. Abduelbagi Ali Enad was found by his family members (his sons) dead at his farm in Um-Dehaileeb village near Kologi town. His body had gunshot wounds on the head. There were also footsteps of the assailants at the crime scene. The case was reported by his family to Kologi police but no investigations were carried out. Police did not even visit the crime scene. Mr. Abduelbagi Ali Enad (53 years old) was a farmer. Um-Dehaileeb is a village in Gadier locality of South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains, it is about 30 km north of Kologi (the locality’s capital). HUDO is very concerned about the security situation and the safety of civilians in conflict areas and calls upon;
· Police in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains to immediately investigate this case.
· The prosecutor in South Kordufan/ Nuba Mountains to ensure that there is rule of law.
· The security committee in South Kordufan state to dissolve and disarm militias and ensure that there’s safety of civilians.
