                                                         ARREST OF RESISTANCE COMMITTEE MEMBER IN DAMAZIN, SUDAN

On 30th December 2021, Mr. Khalid Al-Sheib Bahaa-Eldin (member of Damazin resistance committee) was arrested by six GIS soldiers from the street in Damazin. He was taken to unknown place, interrogated and later released. On 30th December 2021, Mr. Khalid Al-Sheib Bahaa-Eldin was arrested by General Intelligence Service (GIS) armed soldiers along the street in Damazin town as he was going to join the the peaceful demonstration. The GIS were using a vehicle without number plates. The GIS soldiers tied his face before driving him away. They later removed the blinders from his face at undisclosed office where he was interrogated about mobilizing the public for demonstration. After three hours of interrogation, they tied Mr. Khalid face again and drove him back and released him at Damazin popular market. Mr. Khalid Al-Sheib Bahaa-Eldin Elsemeit (35 years old) is a teacher and member of Damazin Resistance Committees. Damazin is the capital of Blue Nile State. HUDO is very concerned about the situation of civilians in Sudan and calls upon:
· General Intelligence Service in Damazin to stop arresting civilians.
· The prosecution office in Damazin to immediately stop arbitrary arrests committed by security organs. · The national, international organizations and UN agencies to pay more attention to the conflict areas.
