                                        PASSENGERS ROBBED BY ARMED PEOPLE AT ALHAMRAA, SUDAN
On 29th November 2022, two (2) armed and masked men robbed passengers at Alhamraa. The
passengers were travelling on a commercial vehicle from Hajar-Elfoul to Kadogli. The robbery
case was reported at Kadogli police but, police did not respond.
On 29th November 2022, four passengers were travelling on a commercial vehicle from Hajar-Elfoul
market to Kadogli town. Two armed men putting masks on their faces obstructed them and robbed
them of their money under gun point. One of the passengers (a trader) by name Mr. Elderderi
Mohammed Abbaker was robbed five million Sudanese pounds (around $9000 USD).
The victims reported the incident to Kadogli police by then but police did not take any step to investigate
up to date.
Alhamraa is a village about 20 km south Kadogli town on the way to Hajar-Elfoul market. Kadogli is the
capital city of South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains.

HUDO Centre is very concerned about the security situation and the safety of civilians in conflict areas
and calls upon;
· Police in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains to execute their duties responsibly and to
immediately investigate this case.
· The prosecutor in South Kordufan/ Nuba Mountains to ensure that there is rule of law.
· The security committee in South Kordufan state to dissolve and disarm militias and ensure the
safety of civilians.
