On 1st February 2023, a group of armed and masked RSF soldiers killed two travelers and robbed
others near Abu-Jibaiha. The case was reported to Abu-Jibaiha police but, there was no

On 1st February 2023 at around 08:00 AM (Sudan time), more than ten armed Rapid Support Force
(RSF) soldiers in uniform obstructed a traveling truck with passengers at a point between Addaka
village and Abu-Jibaiha town. The truck was coming from Tembaira weekly market to Abu-Jibaiha after
spending a night at Addaka. The attackers (RSF-soldiers) were putting on masks and had tuktuk (three
wheeler) automobiles.
The attackers shot at the passengers and subsequently killed Mr. Abduelkareem Edris Gismalla (42
years) and Mr. Mohammed Ali Mohammed (39 years). The two were directly shot on the chests. After
shooting and the truck was forced to stop, the assailants robbed all passengers of their available money
and smart phones. During the process of robbing, another tuktuk arrived at the scene and the attackers
assaulted the people on the tuktuk and robbed them too. They even took away (robbed) their tuktuk
and disappeared.
The truck with the passengers continued the journey with the two dead bodies to Abu-Jibaiha where
postmortem was done and thereafter burial. This very case was reported at Abu-Jibaiha police however
up to date no investigation was carried by police.
