<p><b>            منظمة حقوق الإنسان والتنميه                                                                              <br>                                                                             Human Rights and Development Organization (HUDO) <br>                                                                                                      <u>Update on Blue Nile Trials (2)</u></b><br> The court sessions conducted at Sinja town for the defendants of Blue Nile incident, organized on dates as follow:<br> <b><u>Day one (3rd June 2013) <br> </u>Case No. (4086/2011) Defendant/ Musa Jahalla</b> <br> Ando The third court sitting for this case, the judge heard the police investigator, complainer and the first accusation's witness. <br> <b>Case No. (4523/2011) Defendants/ Elsir Aamir Elzaki and Abdalla Elzain Ragab</b> <br> The third court setting for this case, the judge heard to the accusation's witness and after the court investigated the defendant/ Elsir Aamir Elzaki, which he denied all the accusation charges against him. The judge announced coming session to investigate the other defendant/ Abdalla Elzain Ragab. <br> <br> <b><u>Day Two (5th June 2013)</u></b> <br> <b>Case No. (4086/2013) Defendant/ Mussa Jahalla</b> <br> Ando The forth court setting for this case, the judge heard to four accusation witnesses (they had been absent in the previous sitting). The judge announced coming session to investigate the defendant. Case No. (5028/2011) Defendant/ Elrasheed Eloumda Khougali The second court setting for this case, the judge heard the police investigator and the complainer. The judge announce coming session for hearing the accusation witnesses. <br> <b>Case No. (1716/2011) Defendant/ Elsheikh Ali Elnour</b> <br> The third court setting for this case, the judge heard the complainer and three accusation witnesses. The judge declared coming session for hearing the remained accusation witnesses. <br> <b>Case No. (5226/2011) Defendant/ Gomaa Hamid Mansour</b> <br> Lastly the prosecutor attorney delivered the defendant to the court!!! (whom had been delivered only his file without him physically). The judge declared a date for the coming session as procedural setting for starting his judiciary trial. <br> <b>Case No. (4176/2011) <br> </b>The remaining seventy nine defendants Up to date nothing taken toward their case in terms of court procedure. <br> <b><u>Important Notes:</u></b> <br> • The court sessions implemented under serious security arrangements. <br> • Good presence of lawyers defending the defendants, they consist of lawyers from Sudanese Association for Defending Rights and Freedom (SADRF) in corporate with Nuba Bar Association (NBA) and individual activist lawyer from Sinar and Blue Nile states. <br> • Now it became more clear, it is a political trials for judging the Sudan People Liberation Movement/North (SPLM/N) and those defendants are victims on the government hand. It is appeared through the prosecutor attorney questions were insisting on asking about defendants tribes and mentioned to these tribes involved in SPLM/N issues, however it appeared the ethnical targeting by the government. This made the defense lawyers object many times. <br> • The judge declared the coming trial sessions will be on 24th and 25th of June 2013 for continuing the cases trials procedures (except the seventy nine defendants case). <br> <br> <b><u>Appeal</u></b><br> HUDO is appealing for all national and international NGOs, UN agencies, embassies, and individual activist, to attend the upcoming mentioned court sessions. In order to support the victims accused and to be eye witnesses observing how it fulfill the international justice measures. <br> <br> HUDO 16th June 2013<o:p></o:p></p>
