Human Rights and Development Organization (HUDO) Appeal (10) Al Abbasiya Tagali Detainees On 24th October 2012 Asmaa and her brother Elmansour arrived Al Abbasiya from Khartoum to attend (Eid) celebration. On 27th October, both of them were arrested by NISS from their house.The day before 26th October, two other young men (Elsadiq and Abdalla) were arrested. The Reason for the arrest; The NISS member suspected a laptop and mobile phones to be going to SPLA. So they traced and captured them at Abdalla's house. When they asked Abdalla, he mentioned that these items were brought to him by his colleague trader Adam to give it to Elsadiq. So they arrested Adam, and when they asked him, he answered that the items were brought to him by ELmansour so as to give it to Elsadiq and to inform him that they were from Asmaa. Then NISS arrested all of them. When Asmaa, Elmansour and Elsadiq denied any knowledge of the items during interrogations, NISS authorities ordered them to say that these items were sent from Khartoum by Elshazly but they refused to say so. This led to the arrest of Elshazly who was in Khartoum yesterday. The NISS thought that these items were sent from Khartoum by Elshazly through Asmaa so as to give it to Elsadiq and he had the duty of sending them to SPLA area, and Elmansour is just a mediator used by his sister Asmaa. Because if NISS convinced by what they are thought, it will be one of those two options: To make them confess under torture and threats.
