<p><b>HUDO Centre <br> 26th November 2018 <br> Update (27) <br> COURT TRIAL OF AL-SANADRA CASE</b> <br> The court session was held on 19th November 2018 at Khartoum North court before Justice/ Atif Abdalla. This court session was meant to hear the opinion from the relatives of the deceased but it was adjourned to 10thDecember 2018 after the request by the lawyers of the defendants. Summary of the court session The court session started at 11:00 AM (Sudan local time) before Justice Atif Abdalla, all parties were present. In this session the accusing panel submitted the complete procuration/ authorization letters from the relatives of the deceased delegating Al-Sanadra village’s Sheikh/ Mayor: Mr. Babikir Abdalla Babikir to give opinion on their behalf. Before proceeding, lawyers of the defendants requested the justice to adjourn court in order to give them more time in revising the submitted procuration letters. Justice granted their request and adjourned court to 10th December 2018 to hear the opinion from the authorized Sheikh/ Mayor. <br> <br> Observation note;<br> During this court session, the justice announced that, the ninth (9th) defendant/Ahmed Abdelgadir Salah who had escaped was caught/ arrested by the military intelligence (MI) and his trial will start by the same date of the next court session (10th December 2018). <br> <br> Recommendations/ Appeals HUDO urges all the concerned, especially: <br> · The Sudan court to conduct the trial fairly <br> ·The activists, defenders and supporters to keep on attending court sessions <br> ·The diplomatic missions and embassies to observe the court sessions <br> · The Sudan and international media to give full coverage for the court <br> <br> END For any further information please write to hudo2009@gmail.com<o:p></o:p></p>
