Arrest of Elmubarak in Roseries

ELMUBARAK IN ROSERIES, SUDAN<br />On 15th March 2022, Mr. Mohammed Elmubarak was arrested by police from Roseries market and detained at police office. He was tortured before being released in the evening under bail. On 15th March 2022, Mr. Mohammed Elmubarak was arrested by a group of policemen in civilian clothes from Roseries market, they took him to the police head office in Roseries town. He was tortured (beaten with hose pipe and sticks) while in police custody. He was later released after six (6) hours on bail conditions whereby a community leader (Abu-Shotal) signed as his surety. During the interrogation Mr. Elmubarak was accused by police of mobilizing the student to demonstrate. Mr. Mohammed Elmubarak (33 years old), is a trader (bakery owner), resident of Roseries town and a member of Roseries resistance committee. Roseries is the second town in Blue Nile State and it is linked to the capital (Damazin town) by a bridge.
