MURDER OF MR. YAHYA IN KADOGLI

YAHYA IN KADOGLI, SUDAN</b> <br> On 10<sup>th</sup> March 2022, Mr. Abduelgadir M. Yahya was robbed of his motorbike and killed by unknown armed and masked people in Kadogli town. The victim’s family reported the case anonymously to Kadogli police but the police did not investigate it further. On 10thMarch 2022 at around 6:00 PM (Sudan time), Mr. Abduelgadir Mohammed Yahya was driving his motorbike (tuktuk) near Kadogli Secondary school (Telu) in Kadogli town. Three (3) armed and masked people obstructed his way, shot him dead and took away his motorbike. The residents of the area who witnessed the incident (crime scene) informed the family members of the victim (Mr. Yahya). The family members came and took the dead body to Kadogli hospital for postmortem. They also reported the case anonymously at Kadogli police before burying the dead body. The police did not carry out investigations. Mr. Abduelgadir Mohammed Yahya (30 years old) was a motorbike/ tuktuk driver. The motorbike/ tuktuk is used as means of public transport in Sudan. Kadogli is the capital of South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains. HUDO is very concerned about the security situation and the safety of civilians in conflict areas and calls upon; <br> · Police in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains to immediately investigate this case. <br> · The prosecutor in South Kordufan/ Nuba Mountains to ensure that there is rule of law. <br> · The security committee in South Kordufan state to dissolve and disarm militias and ensure that there’s safety of civilians. <br> <br> End: For more information please write to: hudo2009@gmail.com<o:p></o:p></p>
