<p><b>HUDO Centre No.: H.K/PS/05/022 <br> 20<sup>th</sup> January 2022 <br>                                                                                                            PRESS STATEMENT <br>                                                                 RSF SOLDIERS INVADED ZALAT-MAGDOD GOLD MINE, SUDAN</b> <br> On 10th January 2022, a group of RSF armed soldiers riding motorbikes attacked Zalat-Magdod goldmine in Abu-Jibaiha and looted civilians and shops merchandise in the goldmine market. The case was reported to Abu-Jibaiha police but the police did not investigate further. On 10th January 2022, a group of fifteen (15) armed soldiers dressed in Rapid Support Force (RSF) uniform came riding motorbikes and invaded Zalat-Magdod goldmine market. They harassed civilians in the market, looted shops (goods), money and peoples’ smart phones on gun point. This case was reported to Abu-Jibaiha police but the police did not respond. Zalat-Magdod gold mine is about 20 km southwest Abu-Jibaiha town/ capital of Abu-Jibaiha locality of South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains.
