Killing of Aulwan in Alfarsha

<p><b>HUDO Centre No.: H.K/PS/50/021<br> 22nd August 2021 <br>                                                                                                             PRESS STATEMENT <br>                                                     MURDER OF MR.AULWAN BY UNKNOWN PEOPLE IN ALFARSHA, SUDAN</b> <br> On 8 th August 2021, Mr. Aulwan Eisa Aulwan was shot dead at his farm in Alfarsha village by unknown people. The case was reported to Abu-Kershola police against anonymous, but no further investigation was carried out. On 8 th August 2021, Mr. Aulwan Eisa Aulwan together with other farmers/ labourers were working in his farm near Alfarsha village, by midday, the other farmers left him (Aulwan) alone working at the farm. At a distant, as they were moving, they heard three gunshots in the direction of Aulwan’s farm. They ran back towards the farm only to find Mr. Aulwan dead with three bullet wounds on his head and chest. The perpetrators disappeared after shooting him. They took the dead body to Abu<!--[if !supportFootnotes]-->[1]<!--[endif]-->Kershola hospital and later buried it at his village Alfarsha. The case was reported to Abu-Kershola police against anonymous but no serious step was taken by police to apprehend the perpetrators. Mr. Aulwan Eisa Aulwan was a farmer (50 years old). Alfarsha is a village in Abu-Kershola locality located in a distance of about 20 km southeast Abu-Kershola town in the eastern region of South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains. HUDO is very concerned about the security situation and the safety of civilians in conflict areas and calls upon; <br> · Sudan government to address the state of insecurity in South Kordufan/ Nuba Mountains. <br> · Sudan government to hold South Kordufan State police for not executing their duties. <br> · Sudan government to ensure that the safety of civilians in conflict areas is guaranteed <br> · Sudan government to dissolve government militias and disarm people with unlicensed firearms.<br> <br> End: For more information please write to: hudo2009@gmail.com<o:p></o:p></p>
