Killing of Elzaki near Abu Kershola

<p><b>HUDO Centre No.: H.K/PS/43/021 <br> 6th July 2021 <br>                                                                                                             PRESS STATEMENT <br>                                                   MURDER OF ELZAKI BY UNKNOWN PEOPLE NEAR ABU-KERSHOLA, SUDAN</b> <br> On 28th June 2021, Mr. Adam Ibrahim Elzaki was killed by unknown people near Abu-Kershola. The dead body was found by his relatives who reported/ filed the case against anonymous at Abu-Kershola police, but no further investigation was carried out. On 28thJune 2021, Mr. Adam Ibrahim Elzaki a cattle farmer based Abu-Kershola had gone out to search for his lost cattle/ animals. He first informed his family members that he was going out to search by pursuing the cattle footsteps. His family members waited for him to return home up to the following day in vain. They also went out following the same footsteps and found him dead/ killed at a place called Khor Elnabaq. They took his dead body and buried it in Abu-Kershola after filing/ reporting the murder case at Abu<!--[if !supportFootnotes]-->[1]<!--[endif]-->Kershola police. But police did not investigate or even visit the crime scene. Mr. Adam Ibrahim Elzaki (31 years old) was a farmer / cattle keeper. Abu-Kershola is the capital city of Abu-Kershola locality in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains. Khor Elnabaq is an area about 25 Km South Abu-Kershola. HUDO is very concerned about the security situation and the safety of civilians in conflict areas and calls upon; <br> · Sudan government to hold South Kordufan State police accountable for the misconduct. <br> · Sudan government to address the state of insecurity in South Kordufan/ Nuba Mountains. <br> · Sudan government to ensure that the safety of civilians in conflict areas is guaranteed <br> · Sudan government to dissolve government militias and disarm people with unlicensed firearms. <br> <br> End: For more information please write to: hudo2009@gmail.com<o:p></o:p></p>
