Armed robbery incident in Olo

<p><b>No. H.K/PS/13/021 <br> 22nd February 2021 <br>                                                                                                             PRESS STATEMENT <br>                                                SPLA-N (SRF) ROBBED, SHOT AND INJURED AN ELDERLY MAN AT OULO, SUDAN</b> <br> On 14th February 2021, SPLA-N (RSF) armed soldiers robbed an elderly man of his harvested gum, they also shot and injured his left leg. This happened at Oulo forest of Blue Nile State. The case was reported at Damazin police office but there was no follow up. On 14th February 2021, while an elder man by name of Mr. Ishag Ibrahim Abdalla was in Oulo forest harvesting gum when four armed soldiers of Sudan People Liberation Army – North (SPLA-N) of Sudan revolutionary Front (RSF) appeared and ordered him to hand over the harvested gum to them. But, Mr. Ishag did not comply with their order and they shot him on his right leg and forcefully took his harvested gum. Later, the victim was taken by his relatives to Damazin police hospital where he got first aid. They also reported the case at Damazin police but, police did not take any action. An activist from BN informed HUDO that, the SPLA-N(RSF) soldiers used to manipulate the gum harvest business in Oulo forest. That they also confiscate gum harvested by farmers under gunpoint. Mr.Ishag Ibrahim Abdalla is a 75 year old farmer (gum collector). SPLA-N (RSF) is Sudan people liberation Army – North of revolutionary Front headed by Mr. Malik Agar. Oulo forest is located in the West of Damazin town in Tadamoun locality of Blue Nile State; this is near the border with South Sudan where the base of SPLA-N (RSF) is located.
