Assault and intimidation of family by armed people in Kadogli
<p><b>No. H.K/PS/12/021 <br> 19th February 2021 <br> PRESS STATEMENT <br> ASSAULT AND INTIMIDATION OF FAMILY MEMBERS BY ARMED PEOPLE IN KADOGLI/ SUDAN</b> <br> On 15th February 2021, a group of armed people broke into the family house at night in Kadogli, assaulted and intimidated family members. The family members reported the case at Kadogli police office against anonymous but there was no action taken by police. On 15th February 2021 at around 3:00 AM (Sudan local time), seven (7) armed people broke into the house of Mr. Ismail Mustafa in Elsouq/ market neighbourhood. The assailants assaulted/ hit Mr. Mugbil (the son of Mustafa) with the butt of the gun; they also intimidated other members of the family before leaving the house. The assaulted son (Mr. Mugbil) was rushed to Kadogli hospital where he had the medical treatment. The case was reported at Kadogli police against anonymous. But the police did not carry out further investigations. The physically injured person Mr. Mugbil Ismail Mustafa (23 years old) is a student. Elsouq/ market neighbourhood is in mid (down town) of Kadogli, the capital city of Nuba Mountains/ South Kordufan State.
