MR. BARAKA INJURED BY GUNSHOTS NEAR ABU JIBAIHA SUDAN

BARAKA INJURED BY GUNSHOTS NEAR ABU-JIBAIHA, SUDAN</b> <br> On 18th August 2020, Mr. Baraka Yassin Dahab was injured by gunshots from three people dressed in RSF uniform. He was shot from a place near Abu-Jibaiha town while on the road as he was driving his commercial vehicle. The case was reported at Abu-Jibaiha police office against anonymous. On18th August 2020, Mr. Baraka Yassin Dahab was driving his commercial vehicle from Kalogi to Abu-Jibaiha town. As he approached Abu-Jibaiha, three armed men dressed in Rapid Support Force (RSF) uniform shot at the vehicle aiming at the driver. One bullet injured Mr. Baraka on his left thigh but he did not stop driving up to a point he considered safe. The passengers that he was driving carried out the first aid measures and took him to Abu-Jibaiha hospital where he received treatment. The case was reported at Abu-Jibaiha police against anonymous.. Two of the passengers informed HUDO that, they believe it was an attempt of looting. Mr. Baraka Yassin Dahab is 46 years old, owner and driver of commercial vehicle. Abu-Jibaiha and Kalogi towns are in Nuba Mountains/ South Kordufan State. The distance between the two towns is about 60 km. HUDO is very concerned about the situation of civilians in conflict areas and calls upon; <br> · Sudan government at state and central level to urgently investigate the state of insecurity in South Kordufan/ Nuba Mountains and to solve it. <br> · Sudan government to ensure the safety of people in conflict areas <br> · Sudan government to dissolve the RSF and disarm them. <br> · Sudan government to respect its international obligations towards their citizens. <o:p></o:p></p><p> </p><p>End: For more information please write to: hudo2009@gmail.com<b><o:p></o:p></b></p>
