MURDER OF MR. HASSAN YAHYA IN KHOR ELDELEIB SUDAN

<p><b>HUDO Centre No.: H.K/PS/32/020 <br> 27<sup>th</sup> August 2020 <br>                                                                                                            PRESS STATEMENT <br>                                                              MURDER OF MR. HASSAN YAHYA IN KHOR-ELDELEIB, SUDAN</b> <br> On 19th August 2020, Mr. Hassan Yahya Hassan was killed and robbed of his money by unknown people in Khor-Eldeleib. The incident happened when Hassan was going back home from the town-market. This case was reported at Khor-Eldeleib police against anonymous. On 19th August 2020 evening hours, Mr. Hassan Yahya Hassan was walking back to his house from his shop at Khor-Eldeleib market. Two armed people (one with a gun and the other with a knife) obstructed his way and ordered him to give them the money which was in his bag. He refused to comply and the armed person hit him with the butt of his gun and the other one stabbed him on his abdomen and they forcefully took the money and run away. The attack was close to the town market (about 300 metres west of the market). The people in the neighbouring houses heard a screaming person and came running to the crime scene only to find him (Yahya) bleeding. They took him to the health centre in town but he died on arrival. The case was reported by his family at Khor-Eldeleib police against anonymous. Mr. Hassan Yahya Hassan (nicknamed Haj Nasheef) was 56 years old and a trader at Khor-Eldeleib market. Khor-Eldeleib is a small town in Abu-Kershola locality of Nuba Mountains /South Kordufan State, it is about 50 Km south of Abu-Kershola town.
