RSF MURDERED AND INJURED POLICEMEN ON DUTY IN KADOGLI SUDAN
<p><b>HUDO Centre No.: H.K/PS/23/020 <br> 23<sup>rd</sup> June 2020 <br> PRESS STATEMENT <br> RSF MURDERED AND INJURED POLICEMEN ON DUTY IN KADOGLI, SUDAN</b> <br> On 15<sup>th</sup> June 2020, RSF attacked policemen on duty, shot one dead and injured another. The policemen were guarding a telecom mast (station) in Kadogli. The RSF soldiers first attempted to steal the fuel which runs the station and when they were blocked, they shot at the policemen. The case was filed at Kadogli police but nobody was apprehended. On 15thJune 2020,three policemen were on duty guarding one of Areeba/ MTN telecom masts (antenna site) near Kadogli town. Four armed soldiers dressed in Rapid Support Force (RSF) uniform came to this site and attempted to steal fuel but they were surprised to find the policeguards who obstructed them. When their /RSF plans were thwarted, they moved apart a little and two of them shot at the policemen on guard. As a result, one policeman by names of Mr. Abduelmoneim Abduelfadil Kodi (48 years old) died instantly, another policeman was seriously injured and his name is Mr. Adil Hamid Mohammed (27 years old). The third policeman survived the shootings. This case was filed at Kadogli police. The two surviving policemen recognized the RSF soldiers and they were able to tell their names. But, up to the time of publishing this report, police had not arrested any of the perpetrators. The location of the telecom mast is about 13 km North of Kadogli town. The Areeba/ MTN company branch use to find the fuel meant for operating its generator stolen, which caused a network disturbance in Kadogli town. For this reason, police guards were placed after the company continuously reported stealing of fuel.
