ASSASSINATION OF FATHI IN KADOGLI SUDANi

<p><b>HUDO Centre No.: H.K/PS/10/020 <br> 19th March 2020 <br>                                                                                   PRESS STATEMENT (For immediate release) <br>                                                                                ASSASSINATION OF FATHI IN KADOGLI, SUDAN</b> <br> On 15th March 2020, Mr. Fathi Shareif Elnour was shot dead by unknown person in Kadogli for unknown reason. The case was reported at Kadogli police office against anonymous. On15th March 2020 evening hours, while Mr. Fathi Shareif Elnour was going back home, he was shot dead on the main road. According to Kadogli hospital, his body had five bullet wounds especially on the abdomen and chest (trunk). The case was filed/ reported by his family at Kadogli police office against anonymous and no further investigations have been carried out yet. Mr. Fathi Shareif Elnour (27 years old) was a Sudan Armed Force (SAF) soldier. By the time he was shot, he was in civilian clothes. Kadogli is the main town of South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains. HUDO is very concerned about the situation of civilians in conflict areas and calls upon; <br> · Sudan government at state and central level to urgently investigate the state of insecurity in South Kordufan/ Nuba Mountains and to solve it urgently. <br> · Sudan government to ensure that police executes their duties responsibly <br> · Sudan government to ensure the safety of people in conflict areas <br> · Sudan government to dissolve the PDF and disarm them. <br> · Sudan government to respect its international obligations towards their citizens. </p><p> </p><p>End For more information please write to: hudo2009@gmail.com<o:p></o:p></p>
