RSF SOLDIERS SHOT, INJURED AND ROBBED CIVILIANS NEAR KADOGLI,SUDAN

<p><b>No.: H.K/PS/11/023 <br> 30th March 2023</b><br> <b>                                                                                    PRESS STATEMENT</b><br>                                                                                    (For immediate release)<br> <b>                         RSF SOLDIERS SHOT, INJURED AND ROBBED CIVILIANS NEAR KADOGLI, </b><b>SUDAN</b><br> On 9th February 2023, two armed and masked RSF soldiers shot at travelling civilians near AlHamra village and robbed them of their money. As a result of shooting, one of the travelers was injured. The case was reported to Kadogli police but there was no response.<br> On 9th February 2023 two civilians (Mr. Omer Zakaria Alrehaima Angalo and Mr. Sedig Dalami) were<br> traveling from Um-Serdeba to Kadogli using a tuk-tuk. They were obstructed (stopped) by two (2) armed<br> persons dressed in Rapid Support Force (RSF) uniform and their face covered with mask, at a place<br> between Al-Hamra and Kadogli. In the process of stopping the travelers, the RSF assailants shot at<br> them and then robbed them of their money amounting to 1,700,000 SDG = $2900 USD (approximately)<br> and thereafter disappeared.<br> As a result of shooting, Mr. Omer Zakaria was injured on his right thigh. Later, the two victims were<br> rescued by Sudan Armed Force (SAF) who were on patrol. They took them to Kadogli hospital where<br> the injured victim was treated. The case was reported by the victims to Kadogli central police but police<br> did not investigate this case ever since.<br> Mr. Omar Zakaria Alrehaima Angalo is (35 years old) and Mr. Siddig Dalami is (60 years old) and both<br> are traders.
