Assassination of Mr. Al Aalem in Elfaid

AL-AALEM IN ELFAID UM-ABDALLA, SUDAN</b> <br> On 22nd June 2022, Mr. Al-Aalem Mohammed Bargout was shot dead by armed men at his house in Elfaid Um-Abdalla. The reason behind the assassination is unknown. The case was reported to Elfaid Um-Abdalla police but no effort was made by Police. On 22nd June 2022 around 11:00 pm (Sudan time), Mr. Al-Aalem Mohammed Bargout (28 years old) was at his house in Elfaid Um-Abdalla. Someone knocked at his gate and called him (Alaalem) by name. Mr. Alaalem came and opened the gate only to find two armed people (according to his testimony) who shot him instantly. The neighbours came running (when they were heard the gunshot) to the crime scene and found Mr. Al-Aalem bleeding. He informed/ described to them the kind of people that had attacked him. As they rushed him to the hospital, he passed away before reaching. The case was reported to Elfaid Um-Abdalla police but police did not carry out the needed investigation. Elfaid Um-Abdalla is a town in Abu-Kershola locality of South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains.
