Murder of a pregnant woman in Elfaid

<p><b>HUDO Centre No.: H.K/PS/26/022 <br> 30th April 2022 <br>                                                                                                              PRESS STATEMENT <br>                                                           MURDER OF A PREGNANT WOMAN IN ELFAID UM-ABDALLA, SUDAN</b> <br> On 25th April 2022, Mrs. Sara Ismail Mohammed (pregnant) was shot dead at her house in Elfaid Um-Abdalla by two armed and masked people riding a motorbike. The murder case was reported anonymously to police at Elfaid Um-Abdalla but the police did not investigate it further or even visit the crime scene. On 25th April 2022 at around 2:00 AM (Sudan time), Mrs. Sara Ismail Mohammed was sleeping at her house in Elfaid Um-Abdalla with her children (her husband was not around). Two armed and masked people came on a motorbike and knocked at the gate. She came out to check on them but they shot her instantly and run away. The neighbours came out and tried to rush (take) her to the hospital, but she died before reaching the hospital. The case was reported to Elfaid Um-Abdalla police but the police did not investigate or even visit the crime scene. Mrs. Sara Ismail Mohammed (29 years old) was eight months pregnant, a housewife and mother of three children. Elfaid Um-Abdalla is a town in Abu-Kershola locality of South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains.
